In the midst of darkness, light persists

Happy shining Saturday. Our positive quote of the day states: “In the midst of darkness, light persists,” by Mahatma Gandhi. Our Pastor said something interesting during our Christmas Eve service which I’m paraphrasing, ‘either we are the light and people are drawn to us, or we are drawn to the darkness, sometimes becoming the darkness ourselves’. It made me wonder what are we doing on a daily basis to help be the light in the world? I’m sure all of us have different charities that we may support, perhaps we purchase cookies from the Girl Scouts or popcorn from the Boy Scouts. Or neighborhood children who knock on our door selling items for school sponsored fundraisers. All those things are awesome! But what are we doing consistently to help bring light into the world? How are we helping to make a difference daily? As we prepare to leave 2023 behind and embrace 2024, I would like to challenge us all to not just benefit from the light, but to be the light.  #Beinspired #Light #LuminousQuotes
