Happy New Years

Happy New Year Eve. As we close out 2019, our positive quote of the day states: “Focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses. Focus on your character, not your reputation. Focus on your blessings, not your misfortunes,” by Roy T. Bennett. As we leave the old year behind, allow its traveling buddies in our rear view mirror to be regret, pain, hostility, hatred, loss, anger, procrastination and self doubt. I recently heard Pastor Jazz in the last church service for 2019 at Zion Church say, we also need to leave some places and people behind. It’s difficult to think about leaving people behind. If they don’t support our dreams, encourage our success or speak favor over our lives, but rather bring discord or discontentment, it’s time to release them and move forward.
