What you believe…

Finding inspiration in everyday life

What you believe…

Happy soulful Saturday. Our positive quote of the day states: “If you would be a real seeker after truth, it is necessary that at least once in your life you doubt, as far as possible, all things,” by Rene Descartes. I had a college professor who asked a simple question, “Tell me something you know versus something you believe?” I eagerly responded, “I know God loves me.” His response was, “No. You believe God loves you. What you know is that you’re sitting in a chair.” I’m surprised the professor and I both made it out of the class relatively sane. People, no matter how well meaning, will use their perception of the truth to twist the facts and alter the truth to support their position. If we’re not careful they will alter our thinking and perception to align with their view. The ability to recognize the truth doesn’t come from listening to another person’s interpretation; it comes from knowing who we are and relying upon our own understanding. #Beinspired #Truth #LuminousQuotes
