We had no idea that in just a few short years, our lives would change forever. In all life’s changes, please include taking care of yourself. Caregiving often sneaks up on us, and changes our lives forever. But it is not always because of a spouse, like in my case, who became ill. It could be a number of many situations… a sick child from birth, a devastating accident walking to the mailbox and a car running up on the curb, a rare disease at a young age, a stroke, a slip on the floor… etc. You never know.
